As we get deeper into distant learning, we recognize how vital the ‘home learning’ aspect is. With elementary students, we are relying on parental support in their busy schedules.
By providing student learning activities that integrate into SEL and fit naturally in a home environment we may see more success and more engagement.
I loved making a time capsule with my own boys! It’s opened up some wonderful conversations. They were engaged and many learning opportunities opened up just through the conversation. We went outside with our papers and colored pencils to create a more relaxed environment and it was lovely!
